Halloween is coming and it’s time to prove to all your out-of-state friends and family that Minnesota is the best choice when you’re looking for the most terrifying places to explore. Minnesotan’s LOVE Halloween and no other state comes close to the amount of spooky spirit that we see in the land of 10,000 lakes. Here’s why:

  1. We have the Halloween capital of the world!

Flickr/Renae Rude Anoka, MN - center of all things terrifying and spooky!

  1. MN is home to many haunted places!

Flickr/Brendan Riley Like Glensheen Mansion, Wabasha Street Caves, Palmer House Hotel, and Forepaugh’s Restaurant.

  1. So, naturally, we have a ton of ghosts!

  2. Flickr/Scott We might be able to see them all, but we all know they’re there.

  3. We’re home to some of the best corn mazes around.

Flickr/Mack Male Think Valley Corn Maize, Engwalls, Silver Brook, A and G Produce, Shafer, and many more!

  1. And around every corner in MN is another abandoned old building to explore.

Kyle Ensrude Be careful when looking at these places, they can be pretty dangerous.

  1. MN created the Dowdle Brothers, makers of some epic scary flicks!

  1. Not to mention we’ve already proved MN has some amazing haunted houses.

Facebook/Zyweic’s Haunting Experience We just proved this in yesterday’s list with epic houses like Zywiec’s Haunting Experience, Nightmare Hallow Scream Park, and Hamel Lions Haunted Acres.

  1. Minneapolis is home of the first zombie pub crawl.

  1. You can also find the unexplained Devils Kettle in MN.

  1. And Minnesota reigns supreme when it comes to a scary mist looming over the scenery.
