Minnesotans are far too modest about the epic achievements in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. In fact, we’re even modest enough to continue to call it the Land of 10,000 Lakes when there are in fact, over 11,000! But it’s time for Minnesota to stand up against the weather jokes and show the rest of the country what we bring to the table! And it’s a whole lot… but here are some of the highlights.
- The State Fair. We have THE best state fair in the country. And it’s right around the corner.

- We have A LOT of some pretty awesome things. Like the highest per capita number of boats, theater seats, golfers, Fortune 500 companies, and fishing licenses.

- Lakes, and that means shoreline! A lot of shoreline.

- We have the World’s Largest Otter, Pelican, Crow, Loon, Adirondack Chair, Ball of Twine, and Talking Paul Bunyan among others.

- The best inventions. Post-its, Scotch Tape, Cheerios, Betty Crocker, HMOs, Greent Giant Veggies, Water Skis, Rollerblades, Tonka Trucks, Milky Way Bars, Bus Lines, Snowmobiles, Rice Cakes, SPAM, Toasters, and indoor malls to name a few.

- Medicine. Between the Mayo Clinic and University of Minnesota there are so many medical breakthroughs that Minnesota is responsible for.
