We’re a diverse bunch here in Montana—in fact, freedom is what we treasure most. That being said, there are a few things that will promptly put a smile on all of our faces. We can’t help it if we have excellent taste. Here are a few examples:

  1. The outdoors.

  1. Old school country music.

whittlz / Flickr Some of us could take or leave Luke Bryan, but even if country isn’t our genre of choice, we can appreciate Merle Haggard and Patsy Cline.

  1. America

Michael Kumm / Flickr We’re a patriotic bunch. A Fourth of July spent in Montana is a holiday you won’t soon forget.

  1. Glacier National Park

Jeff Krause / Flickr Some Montanans don’t care for Missoula, others like to make jokes about the east side of the state. But our love of Glacier knows no bounds.

  1. Ghost towns.

Pat Henson / Flickr Give us a day at Bannack, Virginia City or Garnet Ghost Town and we’ll be very happy.

  1. Huckleberries.

Julie / Flickr They’re just the best.

  1. Pastries from the Polebridge Mercantile.

henskechristine / Flickr How does this old-fashioned general store produce the best bear claws ever without electricity? They’re magical.

  1. Lake time.

stonecassie / Flickr Our lakes are gorgeous, and maybe that’s why we’re so utterly obsessed with them when summer rolls around.

  1. Bonfires.

Ian Carroll / Flickr We love an excuse to enjoy a cold beverage by the fire with our friends.

  1. Montana.

We love living and enjoying our lives in the Treasure State. Here are a few reasons why Montana is the best.
