Delaware is full of small towns with a lot of history, and many people believe a great deal of ghosts haunt our state. Between the abandoned mills, roadside barns, and the eerie Delaware fog that rolls in with no notice, maybe it’s true. I can’t say if I’m convinced, but these creepy shots definitely have me thinking twice.
- This Haunted Mill
Flickr / 14166659@N05 Abbott’s Mill in Milford has a history of paranormal activity. I wonder what’s lurking in the dark…
- This Bayville Scene
Flickr / leecannon I’m half expecting something to pop up out of the mist… Delaware’s own swamp monster.
- This Abandoned Barn
Flickr / leecannon At one time, this barn was a part of someone’s everyday routine. Now, it sits half-collapsed. Wonder if the farmer’s ghost ever visits…
- This Thick Fog Over The Delaware Bay
Flickr / leecannon Another “Swamp Monster” scene?
- This Low Fog in Newark Woods
Flickr / hukuzatuna I swear I can see a pair of eyes looking back at the photographer…
- Nassau Valley Vineyard
Flickr / jb912 I’d need a glass of wine before exploring this underground tunnel… no thanks.
- The Fog In This Park
Flickr / jb912 I wonder if ghosts hang out on those benches under cover of fog or darkness - it’s hard work haunting people, sometimes they need to rest!
- The Delaware/Maryland Border
Flickr / geoff_mv I wouldn’t want to be the guy in this picture - THIS is a creepy scene.
- Another Abandoned Barn
Flickr / mmahaffie It almost makes me sad to see history collapsed in a field like this - but not sad enough that I’d go explore it.
- This Cemetery
Flickr / jb912 Dark and worn headstones tell stories of lives lost in this creepy shot.
- The Delaware Memorial Bridge
Flickr / izik The Bridge is ALWAYS creepy when you can’t see anything around you.
- This Abandoned Business
Flickr / paulhyde They left in such a hurry that there are still unfulfilled order sheets… wonder what chased them out?
