Way back in 2014, USA Today determined that Arkansas was the sixth most miserable state in the U.S. Now, I’m not just sore about this because Oklahoma came in ninth and there’s no way Oklahomans are more content than Arkansans. I’m sore about it because I’m grateful to live in Arkansas. I suppose most of you are glad to live here too, so I’ve constructed a list about why we’re glad we don’t live anywhere else.
- There’s nothing better than knowing that the Natural State deserves its nickname.

- Folks are friendly here.

- Our cost of living is low.

- Even if we had to depend on only things produced in Arkansas, we’d still be able to eat well.

- We can always find solitude when we want it.

- 50,000 acre wildfires aren’t really a thing here.
