Are you spending a lot of time outdoors lately? Do you constantly find yourself in beautiful surroundings? Are you almost too happy?
If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you may be spending too much time in Florida.
Of course, we know it’s actually impossible to spend too much time in Florida. Just for fun, though, we’ve written up a few warning signs that you may have been here too long:
- You can swim like a fish.
Flickr/Lee We get lots of practice here.
- And you’ve tried just about everything water-related.
Flickr/Carter Brown Any excuse to go to a beach, spring, lake or river is a good excuse.
- You’re actually starting to enjoy grocery shopping.
Flickr/Daniel Oines
- You’ve seen a real manatee.
Flickr/psyberartist You even think they’re sort of adorable.
- Speaking of manatees, you think some pretty strange animals are cute.
Flickr/Phil Hollenback Like this soft and cuddly little…alligator?
- Thunder and lightning don’t even make you flinch.
Flickr/Craig ONeal Ironically, storms are just a part of life in the Sunshine State.
- You have gone through about a million umbrellas.
Flickr/Professor Bop During the rainy season you have to take one everywhere, and they’re so easy to forget. Either that, or the wind destroys them.
- You know that a blue bag with pink tissue paper means you’re in for a treat.
Flickr/Via Tsuji At least in North and Central Florida, Peterbrooke is the greatest. For areas that don’t have one yet, all we can say is we’re really sorry.
- You’ll circle the parking lot a ridiculous number of times for a shady spot.
Flickr/Ekistics Design Studio Anything to avoid being burned by your steering wheel and seat belt buckle.
- You think trees look kind of naked without moss.
Flickr/JR P There, that’s much better.
- You get irritable anytime you can’t stay outside all day.
Flickr/Tracy Solomon That’s why we have so many porches, patios and decks. You could never live in a place where you were trapped indoors half of the year.
- You’ve been to this place about a thousand times.
Flickr/Jeff Krause It might be the most magical place on Earth, but it’s not the most beautiful…
- You’ve been spoiled by some of the best beaches in the world.
Flickr/VISIT FLORIDA Editor Because this has to be the most beautiful place on Earth.
Living in Florida may be addictive, but at least it’s good for your health (and happiness). What’s your favorite thing about living in Florida?
