It’s no secret that one of a Texan’s favorite activities is to eat, and they won’t deny it if you ask them. We’re definitely serious about our food (and beverages) here, and everyone knows it. If you’re a born and raised Texan, you probably can’t get enough of these foods and drinks:

  1. Fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and pretty much anything else under the sun that’s fried.

  1. Burgers, one of our favorite food groups.

  1. Speaking of burgers, this place is practically a second home to most Texans.

  1. BBQ, because Texans do it best!

  1. Beer..it’s our choice of beverage for most meals, except of course for..

  1. Dr Pepper..we guzzle this stuff like water (it’s just that good).

  1. Texas chili…because we know beans definitely don’t belong in chili.

  1. Tex-Mex..it’s cheesy, it’s meaty, it’s spicy..it’s everything you could ever want in food.

  1. Speaking of Mexican food, Texans definitely have a thing for breakfast tacos. They’re pretty great.

  1. Blue Bell Ice Cream: I know I’ve used this picture before, but I feel it most accurately describes our relationship with our favorite ice cream.

  1. Bacon: alone or on top of one of our other favorite foods (like burgers), we’ll eat it however we can get it.

  1. Pecan pie, which pairs nicely with our other favorite dessert, Blue Bell.

  1. Salsa, preferably with chips.

  1. Fried catfish, shrimp, and hush puppies, but we also enjoy grilled seafood too.
