Living in Texas has spoiled us a little bit (okay, a lot). We’ve grown accustomed to the incredibly diverse landscape, breathtaking views, delicious food from barbecue to Tex-Mex, and good old fashioned southern charm that can’t be found anywhere else. We’re so used to these luxuries that sometimes we forget how unique to our state they are, and traveling elsewhere can be quite the wake-up call. But hey, as long as we stay safely within the confines of Texas, we won’t run into that problem, right? Right. Here are 15 ways living in Texas ruins you for life (and makes your heart swell with pride for this amazing place we call home).
