Sometimes trying to express why you love where you live can be tough. There are so many different possibilities and many of those can seem incredibly personal to each individual. However, I think some of those reasons and experiences are shared by plenty of Arizonans, so here’s a quick look at signs that you may belong here in the Grand Canyon state:
- Obvious things first: You know that sunny days are the best days.

- Feeling toasty is something you actually enjoy.
Kevin Dooley/Flickr That extreme heat in Phoenix can feel a bit much after awhile, but I would take that over freezing temperatures.
- Preparing for winter every year doesn’t always mean having to break out the parka and getting snowed in at least once.

- Like exercising your second amendment? Arizona is definitely for you.

- Do you enjoy spending time out in nature? Lucky for you, Arizona has a long list of areas for hiking, camping, hunting, or just enjoying nature’s peacefulness.

- You have an appreciation (or perhaps a preference) for rocky, dirt-covered landscapes.

- If you have a fear that you will meet your end in a natural disaster, you can be rest assured that Arizona is one of the safer places in the country to live.

- You’re craving a good chimi right now or some other Sonoran Mexican or otherwise Southwestern dish. Either way, if you live in Arizona right now, you can satisfy those cravings with just a short drive to your nearest Mexican restaurant.
