Previously, we created this list of crazy Maryland laws. We’ve found a few more at DumbLaws.com worth mentioning that will leave you with questions. Check out these bizarre things that are actually illegal in the Old Line State. Most likely, you’ve broken a few of them yourself.
- In Cumberland, it is illegal to use profanity at or near a playground.

- If you’re in Baltimore, don’t even think about throwing a bale of hay from a second-story window.
Flickr / Bernard Spragg. NZ What about a third-story window though?
- And especially don’t take a lion to the movies.
Flickr / Pauline Guilmot You know this had to have happened to be a law…
- Throwing stones in a public park is prohibited.
Flickr / Steven Kamenar (Okay, that’s actually a good one)
- In Rockville, it’s illegal to curse while on the highway.
Flickr / alisa Consider me guilty.
- And while you’re in Rockville, don’t play or swim in the fountains.
Flickr / John Although this looks extremely refreshing.
- You’re allowed to spit on the road, but keep that saliva away from city sidewalks.
Flickr / Nicolas Nova Thank goodness.
- No “tramp” or “vagrant” shall loiter in the park.
Flickr / Jason Hickey This one is ridiculously and rudely specific.
- Do not sell chicks to a minor within a week of Easter.

Are you guilty of any of these? Remember, you can check out part one here!
