I consider myself fortunate to be born and raised in the lovely state of South Dakota. The open plains, rolling hills, and natural beauty never cease to amaze me, and it seems that there’s always a new adventure waiting to take on. Nonetheless, there are a some things about South Dakota that just grind my gears. Here are a few things you eventually grow to hate about living in Mount Rushmore State.

  1. The stereotype that we are all farmers and that South Dakota only consists of corn fields.

  1. When people confuse North Dakota with South Dakota.
