Utahns love ice cream. In fact, we’ve been named first in the nation for its consumption on many occasions. While eating the icy cold, smooth confection is a delight (especially in the summertime), watching how it’s made is pretty darn fun, too. The Aggie Creamery at Utah State University offers tours occasionally, and the next one is coming up soon!

The Creamery at Utah State University was founded in 1888.

Mendenhal said that Aggie Ice Cream has, “been the partner in the lives of thousands of USU students, faculty, employees and visitors….There’s no way to prove that Aggie ice cream has fostered innovation, bolstered scores on exams, or heightened awareness, but it certainly hasn’t hurt.” We agree!

The tours are offered at the Nutrition & Food Science Building at the Utah State University campus.

The cost of the tour is $4 per person, but they give you ice cream at the end!

Aggie Ice Cream/Facebook Aggie Blue Mint is the most popular flavor. It’s a mint ice cream with Oreo cookie bits and white chocolate chunks.

Can’t make it to a tour this summer? You can always visit the campus store for a treat.
