Established in 1873, Alma is the highest incorporated municipality in the country and was at one time the home to thousands of families who worked in the surrounding mines.

Originally called Silverheels, this historic building has served the Alma community in a number of different ways since it first opened, including as a dance hall, bakery, and – most recently – as the Al-Mart General Store.
