This incredible structure has been around since the birth of the nation. It once functioned as a blacksmith shop, and churned out weapons and necessities for soldiers fighting in some of the most important battles of this country’s early history. This forge was built in 1745. It produced weapons for the American Revolution, as well as the French and Indian War.

Many different blacksmiths worked out of this shop over the years. The last retired in 2007.

Today, the structure is abandoned and falling apart. However, the new owners plan on making use of the historic shop.
