Alllll aboard!
Sometimes, we forget that hotels should be part of our vacation experience instead of just being a place to sleep at night. That being said, why stay in a dime-a-dozen La Quinta or Super 8 when unique places like this exist? In Fredericksburg, you have the opportunity to spend the night in a historic, antique train car that’s just a few blocks away from Main Street. It runs about $299 a night, but the town is small enough that one night is all you need to see all the sights. So, what are you waiting for? I think it’s about time to start planning a trip.
The car is named after the Four Sixes Ranch in Wichita County, and was used by the owner, S. Burde Burnett, to make his travels to and from the ranch more comfortable.
