Have you ever seen snowfall in New Orleans? Every now and then, it happens. In 2008, one of the biggest snowfalls happened in the city. You have to see these photos to believe it!

On December 11, 2008, a snowstorm came to New Orleans.

Of course, that white Christmas was followed by one of the worst Hurricane seasons of all time, so there was some rumors that the snow might have brought on the storms.

Unlike the tepid little sleet and snowfalls that New Orleans has experienced in the past, the 2008 snowfall was pretty robust.

We have snow so rarely in the city, we just aren’t sure how to deal with it when it comes.

Seeing snow decorating New Orleans was really a special experience for everyone who was there.

So if you are ever upset about how warm this whole winter has been…remember that every now and then, a snow does come to New Orleans.
