Auerfarm State Park Scenic Reserve became a Connecticut’s newest state park just over a year ago. The park’s rolling hills offer some of the best vistas of the Metacomet Ridge. Now that it’s a state park, those views are preserved for the public into the future.
From Orchard Hill, take in views of Heublein Tower, the Metacomet Ridge, Lasalette Park, and Hawk Hill Farm.

While it’s pleasant for us to visit the park’s woodland trails and appreciate their beauty, for the species that inhabit the park, it’s absolutely critical. The fact that Auerfarm is now a state park means they will continue to have a home.
