Today, let’s reminisce on the little-known tale of a twin-engine aircraft, a mattress and a “house of ill repute.” This may not be the craziest thing you never knew happened in Nevada, but it’s definitely one of the craziest things.
The year was 1978. The place was Angel’s Ladies brothel (then Fran’s Star Ranch).

One fine day, the owners issued a high-flying challenge to customers:

The brothel is closed and the ladies are long gone, but you can see and take photos with the airplane and sign (at your own risk). Just look for the big bright billboard advertising massages, showers and free all-night parking on the west side of U.S. 95 near downtown Beatty.
