Delta, Alabama is a tiny unincorporated community in Clay County. It has a population of less than 200 people.

During your drive to Delta, you’ll pass through the Talladega National Forest. The Talladega National Forest, which is located at the southern edge of the Appalachian Mountains, covers nearly 400,000 acres and is one of Alabama’s true gems.

Situated in the middle of the Talladega National Forest, and in the tiny town of Delta, is Cheaha State Park. This state park is responsible for Delta’s breathtaking natural beauty. It’s also home to Alabama’s highest natural point, Cheaha Mountain.

One of Cheaha State Park’s most scenic features is its charming lake, Cheaha Lake. Cheaha Lake offers excellent fishing and swimming opportunities.
