If you’re looking for heaven on earth, look no further than Devil’s Canyon, which is located in the Ozark National Forest near the gorgeous overlooks of White Rock Mountain in Franklin County. It’s not an easy place to hike (as a matter of fact it’s quite difficult), but it’s incredibly rewarding. In Devil’s Canyon you’ll find several waterfalls, some higher than others, but all gorgeous. The 2.6 -mile trail there takes a good deal of effort, but it takes you down 1500 feet in elevation into little slice of heaven that you shouldn’t miss. Because of the waterfalls, you’ll want to try to go after a heavy rain. If you plan to visit this place, please make sure you’re well provisioned.

It isn’t all waterfalls, though. You’ll also find amazing grottos like this one.

And let’s not forget that part of the lure of canyons is that you can find a high place to take them all in.
