Dinosaur Park is located in Laurel and not many people know that this fascinating place exists.

What’s so cool about this spot? Well, it’s home to dinosaur fossils from the Cretaceous Period, about 110 million years ago.

Families are welcome to explore the grounds in search of fossils. Digging is not allowed but keep your eyes peeled, and you never know what’s hiding in plain sight.

NOTE: Any fossils found will be credited with your name as the finder but you may not take found specimens home. They’ll be kept at the park for research or may even end up on display at the Smithsonian Museum.
