Dinosaurs were arguably some of the most majestic creatures to ever walk the earth. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about them since humans came along so many eons after their extinction. However, their elusiveness doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate the things they did leave behind – like their gigantic footprints. At Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, you can observe real dinosaur tracks that are almost as old as time.

Upon entering the park, you’ll be warmly greeted by a pair of life-sized dinosaur replicas beckoning you to come learn more about their species.

And learn you will - the park encompasses over 1,500 acres and features a plethora of fossilized footprints from actual dinosaurs that inhabited the area millions of years ago.

Most sets of tracks are accompanied by informational signs telling you exactly what kind of dinosaur made them and approximately how long ago.

The whole family will have a blast. Little ones love comparing their feet to the prints!

It can be hard to imagine such enormous, majestic creatures ever having walked the same ground as us, but Dinosaur Valley helps us form a better understanding of these ancient beasts.
