For years, something bizarre has been happening on Florida’s Spoil Island. This footage by YouTube user “Don Yackel” highlights an incredibly bizarre phenomenon involving a beautiful island and a large number of mysterious, abandoned vessels.
Nicknamed the “Island of Misfit Boats,” the shores of this isle have been accumulating abandoned vessels for quite some time.

The island is managed by Florida’s fish and wildlife agency, which has removed many of the abandoned boats. However, at least three more have recently appeared in the island’s lagoon.

Some of the boats are sporting “no trespassing” signs, leading one to believe that the owners intend to come back for them, but the vessels are clearly deteriorating. What’s going on here?
