The Marshall Gold Discovery State Park is a must see in Northern California. Not only does the beautiful South Fork of the American River run right through it, it is also the site that launched the California Gold Rush.

This State Park is also located in the small town of Coloma, a wonderful little community with all sorts of small town charm. Take in the scenery and really take your time in this fascinating park that has so much to offer.

Many of the buildings left standing in this scenic and historical state park were built during the time of the Gold Rush. The town of Coloma is nostalgic and thriving on the local whitewater community.
