A beach in the middle of Austin? That’s right – named “Secret Beach,” this little hidden gem is the perfect place to visit this summer if you want to ditch the crowds and pesky tourists. This will be your new favorite hangout spot, no doubt about it.
Secret Beach is a sandy stretch of land located inside the Roy G. Guerrero Park in Southeast Austin. The water is relatively shallow and clear, making it a perfect spot for all ages to enjoy.

There is a bit of a hike from the park’s entrance to the water, but it’s definitely worth it because it means few people know about it!

Feel free to bring your furry friends, too - the beach is extremely pet friendly! Dogs love to frolic around in the water.

To access the beach, keep driving through the parking lot until you see the Montopolis Youth Sports Complex. Park there, find the walking trail across the street, follow it for about ten minutes, and there you are!
