This town located, about 35 miles south of Jamestown has only has about 76 residents. It isn’t one of the more remembered small towns in North Dakota – if you blink when you drive past, you’ll miss it – but you HAVE to check it out at least once. Here are some highlights to visiting Jud, North Dakota, and why you should check it out yourself.
Jimmy Emerson/Flickr Jud is known as the Village of Murals. The residents decided to paint murals all over the town to make their town beautiful and unique.
Andrew Filer/Flickr They painted these murals over almost any blank wall to turn a boring flat surface into something awesome.

Jimmy Emerson/Flickr There is also a historical site in Jud: Dagen’s Grocery. It has been not only a store but also a hotel and a post office. Originally built in 1905, it makes one interesting piece of history.
Andrew Filer/Flickr Other neat old buildings also reside in Jud, like this old public school house.
Jimmy Emerson/Flickr You can stop by places like the Doghouse Bar and Grill in Jud for a bite to eat - and yes, they are mural-ified.
Great Plains Assistance Dogs Foundation via Facebook Service Dogs for America is based in Jud, providing service dogs to our veterans and many others for anything from PTSD to physical disabilities. They hold charity events and you can also donate to them at their site ServiceDogsForAmerica.org.
