It’s hard to imagine a truly hidden water park that even the locals don’t know about. Fond du Lac Fairgrounds Aquatic Center certainly isn’t a secret from the folks that live there, but few people in the surrounding areas know such an awesome, inexpensive water park is hiding right in plain sight.

Tucked in among the county fairground property, this awesome aquatic center has super-reasonable rates, a great day of a family season pass and the most fun you and your kids can have for less than around $20 a day.

Starting June 11 and remaining open through August 13th, this water park and aquatic center is tucked in the Fond du Lac County fairgrounds. Locals know it’s there, but it’s a bit of a surprise for everyone else.

The park is open 12 pm to 8 pm everyday. If you get there before 4:15, admission is $4.00 for kids and $5.00 for adults. After 4:15, it’s $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for kids. Children 2 and under are always free and non-swimmers pay just $1.

But the better deal is to just get a season or family pass. A family of 2-5 can have unlimited access to this facility and the community aquatic center for just $130. Individual season passes are $75 for children and $90 for adults.

With two big tube slides and two smaller slides, your kids will never get bored. There’s also a sandy beach area and plenty of other water play features.

Lifeguards are on duty all day with the exception of 4:15- 5:00. For those 45 minutes, the pool is closed, but the rest of park remains open. You can relax and enjoy the sun while your kids burn off energy in the pool.

The park includes grassy areas for picnics or you can nab something from the concession stand. There’s also shelters that can be rented for the afternoon or evening.

Located right in the community and run by the Fondy Rec Department, this awesome water park is a definite hidden gem and is driveable from so many parts of the state. Once you discover this place, you’ll never want to stop going back.
