Have you ever heard the term “Sunday drivers?” Those are the people who just drive for the sake of driving around, slowly, taking everything in. We’re usually in such a hurry to get to our destination that we forget to enjoy the journey. Today we are profiling a road that you can drive and really just sit back and take it all in. I’m talking about the Great River Road. Now, the Great River Road is a road that follows the Mississippi and runs through many states. It spans for 550 miles in Illinois.

The road follows the Mississippi River, giving both driver and passenger some absolutely stunning views of the water.

This road is full of history, as it was first discovered by the Native Americans, and then became super popular because of how conducive it was to agriculture.
