Take a stroll through the field, and find yourself surrounded by happy, bright yellow blooms. Cut a few flowers while you’re here and take them home to enjoy a little bit of sunshine on your kitchen table.

These sunflowers don’t produce the kind of seeds you buy in bags to snack on. They’re black seeds, which are used for their oil, and for bird seed.

The farm’s sunflowers will produce 666,000,000 seeds this year.
