Tunnels are very ominous. They’re mysterious black abysses, and we have no way of knowing what’s inside them unless we muster the courage to investigate. This one in Fredericksburg is particularly spooky, probably because it’s surrounded by natural rock rather than being attached to a freeway like a lot of tunnels are. Are you brave enough to go explore and see what awaits you?
Although the tunnel has no known dark history, there are many speculations as to what could be lurking inside.

We’re certain that over three million bats inhabit the corridor, and they can be seen blackening the sky every summer night at dusk.
