But pristine, white sand isn’t the only thing you’ll find along this stunning stretch of coastline. On the edge of the beach, you’ll find this picturesque rocky area with phenomenal views.

Rumor has it that the luminous “Mermaid Cave” is also located near Nanakuli Beach, and if you’re able to find it - or have someone take you there - you are sure to create a memory that will last a lifetime.

The park is also home to twelve camping sites obtainable by permit, as well as picnic tables, a grassy field, baseball and softball fields, a children’s playground, and basketball court.

You won’t find much shade on this beach - and because the western coast is often hot and dry - it is advised you pack up plenty of water and sunscreen for your visit.

Also beware of the coast’s strong shorebreak and often dangerous currents - swimming at this beach in the winter is ill-advised, and while the waves become more manageable in the summer months, you should still be careful.
