Vast portions of the Beehive State provide stunning natural beauty – from our alpine forests to the endless vistas of our red rock country. However, it’s rare to find a truly remarkable dining experience in these beautiful, remote spaces. Utah has plenty of really amazing restaurants, but they’re often in our more populated cities and towns. Hell’s Backbone Grill is one exception.

Hell’s Backbone Grill is located in Boulder - a tiny Utah town with less than 200 residents.

Madue N/TripAdvisor Boulder is so remote that it didn’t even get electric power until 1947! It’s near both the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Capitol Reef National park.

Owners Jen Castle and Blake Spalding opened the restaurant 17 years ago.

Hell’s Backbone Grill/Facebook Jen and Blake focus on providing more than just a meal - they’re committed to the entire process of producing and preparing food using sustainable practices. Local community and the environment are top-of-mind concerns as well.

From the moment you arrive at this restaurant, you know you’re in for a unique dining experience.
