A protected area for only two decades, Big Bend of the Colorado is one of Nevada’s newest state parks. Now it may become your new favorite summer destination.
Located within Laughlin, just downstream from Davis Dam, Big Bend of the Colorado is a true oasis in the desert. Even when the temperature is hot (and we mean hot – 115 degrees is not unheard of), the waters of the Colorado River remain refreshingly cool. It’s a welcome summer retreat for desert dwellers and a fun place to visit year-round. You can even bring your dog!
