For many of us who grew up in Northern California, nothing says home like visiting a farm in the early fall where you can pick out your own apples or pumpkins, breathe the fresh mountain air, and enjoy some scrumptious baked goods.

High Hill is one of the famous apple orchards that make up Apple Hill, located off Highway 50 just east of Placerville.

On weekends during peak harvest season, High Hill hosts a local crafts fair. As you munch on all your treats, stroll through the artisans’ booths.
