Who doesn’t love a good ghost story? We’ve got so many tales here in Wisconsin that it’s hard not to get wrapped up in some of the stories. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, there are enough stories to give you goosebumps and maybe make you a little wary. Just in case, I’m going to go ahead and avoid this area at night.

It’s a quaint and charming little town that pulls in tourists with all the circus-related activities or as a place to refuel after a long day hiking.

In this idyllic slice of gorgeous Wisconsin there are plenty of interesting and otherworldly tales, from werewolves to mysterious unknown animals in the woods and more than one report of paranormal activity.

Drivers notice him because it seems so unsafe for a person walking at night. They keep driving and a mile or two down the road, they see the same figure, dressed exactly the same, seemingly having transported himself ahead faster than their car.

No one reports ever having stopped to try to help the so-called Phantom Hitchhiker, so no one knows what an encounter with the ghost might look like.

So when you’re traveling down this stretch of highway, don’t be surprised to see the ghost - again and again. Make sure you keep your eyes on the road.

Do you think this road could really be haunted? Have you had a supernatural experience there yourself? Tell us about it in the comments!
