Idaho is no stranger to extreme weather, and the tiny town of West Magic has seen its effects in full force. After severe flooding over the weekend, the only paved road that connects this small town to anywhere else has been closed. The town of West Magic, with a modest population of just around 100, is located in Southern Idaho’s Blaine County.

The only paved road that leads out of town has closed due to the flooding of Magic Reservoir.

As the reservoir continues to spill over, the nearby Big Wood River has also been flooded by 11 feet of water.

The first sign of these treacherous conditions was discovered Friday night, when a woman was caught in her vehicle in the flooded area and had to wait until she was rescued.
