There’s a one of a kind restaurant here in Northern California that has been beloved for generation after generation who stop in on their way through this iconic foothill town. For giant burgers, homemade pies, and all the dips you could possibly want, Ikeda’s California Country Market in Auburn is a classic place to fill your belly.

A family owned business, Ikeda’s is located right off I-80 and is a popular stop for travelers making their way between Tahoe and the Sacramento region.

It was started by a hardworking farmer named Sam and his wife Sally. It’s now operated by their sons Glen and Steve. A third generation of young Ikedas are also often in their store stocking shelves, serving burgers, and working as cashiers.
