Every Idahoan knows the go-to lakes for spending a summer day. Redfish lake. Payette Lake. Coeur d’Alene Lake. But if you’re looking for something a little less populated, be sure to check out Imogene Lake. Imogene is one of the most stunning lakes in the Sawtooths and is sure to become one of your new favorite summer spots.
Imogene is an alpine lake, located in the Sawtooth mountains just about 15 miles southwest of Stanley, Idaho.

The trail rises about 1,000 feet in elevation, so it can be quite strenuous…but it also offers some beautiful sights of waterfalls and streams like this one.

The lake itself is well worth the hike, with expansive crystal clear waters.

At an elevation of 10,716 feet, the nearby Mount Cramer is definitely a sight to be experienced.
