For the first time maybe ever, you’ll actually want someone to “cut the cheese” from this place! Kutter’s Cheese Factory (also known as the Yancey’s Fancy cheese factory) has a whole lot of history, and at just a 35-minute drive from Buffalo, it’s well worth the trip!
The Kutter’s Cheese Factory Outlet Store and Yancey’s Fancy cheese factory are located at 857 Main Road in Corfu, NY.

According to the Yancey’s Fancy website, Leo Kutter started Kutter’s Cheese Factory in 1947, making Swiss, brick, cheddar, and Limburger cheeses.
Kutter’s Cheese Factory was a family-owned business until 1998, when Leo’s sons Richard and Tony Kutter decided to retire and sell the factory to John Yancey (thus creating Yancey’s Fancy cheese).
Today, you can still find Kutter’s Cheese Factory Outlet Store at the front of the Yancey’s Fancy Cheese Factory. Once you step inside, you’ll see why we recommend a visit here!
