Lake Herman was formed thousands of years ago as glacial ice melted. Now it’s the perfect spot to spend the day – or stay overnight. There’s plenty to see and do here, so make plans to visit with your friends and family soon.

Lake Herman State Park is located about an hour north of Sioux Falls. The park situated on a peninsula that juts right out into the lake.

Luckily, you don’t have to leave! Stay overnight in the campground. You’ll find 70 campsites here with flush toilets, showers and electricity.

The park also has a cabin, which sleeps 4-5 people and comes equipped with electricity, heating and air-conditioning.
