The scenery in Glacier National Park is so visually stunning, it often doesn’t even look real in photos. But this incredible place is as real as it gets, and the park is Montana’s pride and joy. Lake Josephine is a gem hidden deep within the park, and when the light hits it properly, it’s a beautiful deep sapphire blue.
Technically, Lake Josephine is a backcountry lake, meaning you can’t drive to it.

You can also reach the lake by boating across Swiftcurrent Lake followed by an easy 200 yard hike.

Hiking trails surround this beautiful lake, so it’s a popular place for people to stop and relax.
