Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula encompasses nearly 52,000 acres across more than 13 miles. They’re made up of two series of falls, the Upper and Lower and are tucked away in deep forest land. It’s one of those places perfect for those of you who want to really get away from city life.
- The Upper Falls, one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River, has nearly a 50 foot drop and is more than 200 feet across.

- Getting to the falls, you’ll take a drive along M-123, loop from M-28 through the town of Paradise and past Tahquamenon Falls State Park.

- When you get to the Upper Falls, you take a short paved pathway and through an old growth forest, where you’ll find observation platforms at the crest of the Falls. You can get right up close to the crashing of the Tahquamenon River.
