Did you know that Alabama has a “drive-thru” petting zoo where you can feed zebras, ostriches, llamas, buffalo and so much more from the comfort of your car? That’s right. You can drive through this unique petting zoo while animals walk straight up to your car window for you to feed them. This unique “drive-thru” petting zoo is Huntsville’s very own Harmony Park Safari.

In 1990, Harmony Park Safari opened with 30 acres of land. What makes this park unique is that the animals are allowed to roam freely. Hey, it’s not every day you see a llama or zebra roam freely towards your car. And because new animals are constantly being added to the park, be sure to visit again. Who knows? You might see several animals you didn’t see before.
