The jewel of Sandpoint, “America’s Most Beautiful Small Town,” City Beach is known by many as Idaho’s own inland Pacific Coast.

Set against the magnificent Lake Pend Oreille, the view from this point extends in every direction - just like the ocean.

After her death, her family gave the statue to the city. “Lee” Turner owned the Cowgirl Corral in Ponderay and the Captain’s Table in Bayview. Since then, the tribute has become a focal point of City Beach.

She sits at the far end of Sandpoint’s City Beach Park, where she ushers in boaters, swimmers, lake cruisers, and glorious Pend Oreille sunsets.
