South Carolina has several underwater hidden treasures like this underwater ghost town in Lake Marion and this underwater graveyard in Lake Jocassee.

Another water covered gem is hidden under water on the border between South Carolina and Georgia. Did you know there’s a sunken plane at the bottom of Clarks Hill Lake, also known as Lake Thurmond?

The plane, very similar to the one below, sank to the bottom of Lake Thurmond nearly 30 years ago.

But it’s wasn’t a crash. The sunken plane was purposely submerged and then cemented in place at the bottom of this South Carolina lake.
