Who says you have to travel overseas to visit a castle? Believe it or not, Colorado is chock-full of these unique and beautiful structures, including the impressive Bishop and Miramont Castles. This one castle in particular, however, is one that typically flies under the radar and isn’t what most would consider to be “traditional.” Ladies and gentleman; I give you Cano’s Castle in Antonio:
Built primarily of beer cans and other recyclables, Cano’s Castle is a four tower masterpiece that was constructed entirely by Vietnam veteran Donald Espinoza.

(In case you were wondering, the four towers of the structure have been dubbed the king, queen, palace, and rook.)

What inspired Espinoza to build such a large and unique castle? Aside from making it home from war, he credits both Jesus and cannabis.

Believe it or not, Espinoza doesn’t even live in the castle! He reserves the elaborate structure for Jesus, while he lives in a modest trailer across the street.
