Colorado is a truly magical state, isn’t it? From its purple mountain majesties to the golden plains, there is more than enough splendor to go around! While these iconic locations are truly lovely, this little-known fairy forest that is hiding in the heart of the state may just be the most magical place of them all (for obvious reasons). Let’s take a look:
Welcome to Breckenridge’s Fairy Forest; a free hiking trail located just off 4 O’Clock Road.

As per the Summit Daily, the whimsical trail can be accessed “at the base of the Snowflake lift and hike the Sawmill Trail that follows alongside the river. Once you get to the top of the trail, hike around the corner to the right, and you’ll see a rocky path headed up towards Four O’Clock. Don’t step off the trail just yet, or you’ll miss the magic. Stay on the lower part of the trail that leads behind a few beautiful homes off Four O’Clock Road.”
