We all imagine our the places where we spent our school days will be frozen in time forever, but that’s not always the case. This decaying elementary school in Georgia is being invaded by the forces of nature in a pretty beautiful way. Built in 1909, this elementary school was renamed after John B. Gordon in 1925.

Gordon was a Confederate general, and was also believed to be the leader of the Georgia Ku Klux Klan in the 1860s.

The school closed in 1995.

The school was eventually listed for sale. The asking price was $1.5 million.
