A Fargo resident named Douglas Legler had arguably the best and funniest obituary ever written. Short, sweet, and to the point – it simply read, “Doug Died.” Believe it or not, it wasn’t a mistake!

The obituary was picked up by many news outlets and social media. His surviving family was surprised his obituary got so much fame. His daughter said, “We had no idea it would turn into what it has. He didn’t try [to be funny], he just was charismatic and funny and quick witted.”
