Imagine heading down to Long Beach Island for a family fishing trip. You’re standing along the shore, when you feel a pull on the line. You can tell it’s a big one… but you don’t expect what you see next. Catching sharks along the coast on Long Beach Island isn’t incredibly rare, but this was no small shark. A 13-year-old, fishing with his father, reeled in a 200 pound Sand Tiger Shark....

Florida is full of enchanting attractions and dreamy landscapes, but Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island is definitely one of the most beautiful places in our state. Huge Anastasia limestone outcropping lines the beach, and waves breaking against the shore can go flying up to 50 feet in the air. This effect depends heavily on the weather at the beach at the time. What started as a miniature golf course in 1956 has grown into a classic amusement park that is now in the hearts and memories of many visitors. Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center is situated near Kentucky Lake and provides just the right amount of excitement and nostalgia. Unless you’ve been to this area, you’ve probably never heard of this hidden gem that has provided decades of family fun. Considering the word “Montana” means “mountainous,” it should come as no surprise that we’ve got some impressive geological wonders in our state. From the limestone canyons of the Pryor Mountains to the Lewis and Clark caverns, there are plenty of natural sights worth exploring. But our most visually unique geological attraction has to be the medicine rocks of Medicine Rocks State Park in Ekalaka. You certainly won’t find anything like this anywhere else in Montana....
